Innovation is one of the key drivers for value creation. Many Multi-National Companies, Academic Institutions, and Government agencies have understood that the engine for future economic growth would come from innovation. As a result, they have already made huge investments in research to find a next breakthrough technology in information technology, nanotechnology, robotics, and many other areas. This indicates that the pace of technological progress will continue to increase in the future. Clearly, new technologies provide greater capabilities, but are more complex and difficult to learn. At the same time, the users are placing greater demand on technology producers to make them more usable and economical.

The School of Innovation and Technology is uniquely positioned to provide world-class education to students who want to become leaders and decision makers.

  • Students would be introduced to the fundamentals of key technologies, how they are interlinked, and their impact on the society from the standpoint of businesses, consumers, government, and other institutions.
  • Team learning would be focused on interdisciplinary approaches. In addition to teaching, the members of the faculty will mentor and advise students in their career planning.
  • Experiential learning has been integrated into the Programme. Students will learn not only case studies, but also through field-based interaction and experience.

1. Master of Computer Application(MCA)

Course Description

In view of growing demand of quality IT professionals in theareaof computer application,a 2 years MCA (Master of Computer Application) course with an integration of IT, Management & Law is introduced at ARGUCOM. This program would prepare a candidate to become a quality software professional with the advanced and updated knowledge base which is necessary to meet the needs of software industries. The primary objective of the course is to initiate young minds into the world of computer applications and provide them with a solid grounding in the domain of software. Pursuing this course will also providean opportunity to those who are aspiring to choose academics as a profession, the syllabus has been designed as per the requirement of UGC NET also.

MCA is a two - years (4 semesters) Master Degree Program in Computer Science. The objective of the course is to enhance knowledge and practical learning at latest technology, tools and application in IT to meet ever - growing requirement of IT professionals.

2. PGDCA

Brief Introduction

PGDCA is a Postgraduate Diploma course in Computer Applications that can be pursued by any graduate. PGDCA is a trending course which will enable with all the tools required in the advancement in technology. This course is a one-year full time course divided into two semesters. It will enable students with a fundamental knowledge of computers and various operating systems, keeping them a step ahead with the technology.

Aim and Objective

This aim of diploma is to develop dynamic computer professionals in short time. The programme covers all aspects and basics in Computer Application. It also has projects for developing full software in various software languages along with real time environment. Theprogramme prepares the students for designing small business application software’s as per the need of industry and real world. The objective of the course is to provide best computer education towards building prospective career in the field of Computer Applications.

Exit levels

If any student wishes to discontinue the course after successfully completing the 1st semester he/she will be provided a 6 months Post Graduate Certificate in Computer Application (PGCCA). If the student pursues the course further for another 6 months he/she will be awarded Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA) certificate.

Eligibility:  To register for the research programme the candidate must possess (i) an M.Tech in Computer Science/IT/Electronics, or (ii) an M. Sc. in Computer Science/IT, or (iii) an MCA degree, or (iv) a B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science/IT/Electronics with 80% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA with valid GATE score in CS.
